Craig S. Gundry, CPS, CHS-III
Craig Gundry, the CIS Vice President of Special Projects, coordinates and oversees the development of new strategic initiatives, program doctrine, and design of new operational infrastructure. Mr. Gundry also supervises all CIS consulting and training projects.
As the lead architect of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Officer program (2005) the CIS School Protection Program (2013), Mr. Gundry is responsible for program design, development of officer training and certification standards, operational support infrastructure, and client-specific program integration. Mr. Gundry is also the senior information designer and project manager of the CIS EDICTS, SATAS, and CIS Matrix (2013- redesign project) databases.
Prior to joining CIS, Mr. Gundry was the President of Palladium Media Group, a company specializing in training and consulting on explosive, chemical, and biological terrorism. Prior to PMG, Mr. Gundry worked as an executive protection specialist and corporate security director for several employers in the 1990's. Mr. Gundry's expertise in security operations began as a specialist in force protection with the United States Army.
In addition to his education at St. Petersburg College, Mr. Gundry has received certification as a Certified Protection Specialist (CPS) through Executive Security International. Mr. Gundry has also received additional training in force protection, leadership, and intelligence analysis via the U.S. Army.
Mr. Gundry is the author of the acclaimed Bomb Countermeasures for Security Professionals CD-ROM. Mr. Gundry is also a frequent consultant to the news media on issues relating to school security, terrorism, and weapons of mass destruction.
Mr. Gundry is also the lead instructor for the S2 Institute's Anti-Terrorism Officer course, School Protection Officer certification program, Security Risk Assessment Workshop, and advanced seminars on critical infrastructure security for professional audiences. As an instructor, Mr. Gundry has been training security, police, and emergency responders in violence mitigation issues for over 16 years. His previous students have included over 1,000 security professionals, facility managers, military personnel, police officers, and federal officials from over 35 nations. Mr. Gundry teaches scheduled seminars annually in Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
In addition to his affiliation with S2, Mr. Gundry is an adjunct instructor on VIP protection and intelligence subjects for Executive Security International and teaches professional development seminars on anti-terrorism and school security topics for John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
