Critical Intervention Services
The S2 Institute was founded in 1998 as the training arm of our sister company, Critical Intervention Services (CIS). CIS is a Florida-based consulting and protective services firm specialized in managing complex risk situations. CIS is most reputed for its work in reclaiming and rehabilitating high crime communities, workplace violence and active shooter risk management, and unique programs such as the Private Sector-Led Public Safety Program and Guardian SafeSchool Program®.
Security Training Group
The Security Training Group (STG) was established as a partnership between the S2 Institute and Invictus Security for purposes of providing Florida Class “D” and “G” security officer license training. STG is the State’s largest provider of security officer licensing training with eight school locations throughout the West, Central, and South Florida regions.
John Jay College of Criminal Justice
John Jay College of Criminal Justice is one of the largest and most prestigious criminal justice universities in the world. Over the past decade, the S2 Institute has worked in partnership with John Jay College’s Center for Private Security and Safety in conducting S2 courses at the John Jay campus in New York City and special programs for school districts.
Invictus Security
Invictus Security is the co-owner of our collaborative partnership, The Security Training Group. Invictus provides a range of protective and investigative services in the South Florida area and frequently works in partnership with S2 and CIS on special projects.
International Association of Counterterrorism and Security Professionals
The relationship between S2 and the International Association of Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP) dates to our founding in 1998. IACSP is a sponsor of the S2 Institute’s anti-terrorism programs, referral partner for private training courses, and reseller of the S2 Institute’s distance learning programs. IACSP is also the accrediting authority for the Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer (cATO®) program, which was originally developed to provide S2 ATO course graduates a credible process for certification.
International Foundation for Protection Officers
The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) is dedicated to promoting standards for knowledge in the security industry and administers a series of certification programs aimed at security professionals of varying position. The S2 Institute has assisted IFPO in conducting special classroom versions of its Certified Protection Officer (CPO) curriculum and advising the IFPO board.
ASIS International
ASIS International is the world’s largest membership organization for security management professionals and administers several of the industry’s leading professional certifications. S2 Institute instructors teach PSP® and CPP® certification exam preparation courses for regional ASIS chapters and are frequent speakers at ASIS International conferences around the world. S2 Institute faculty also serve as members of several ASIS committees.
Precept Management Consultancy
Precept Management Consultancy has been close partner of the S2 Institute since 2008 and frequently hosts S2 Institute courses, publicly and privately, in the UAE, Oman, Cyprus, India, and the Philippines. Headquartered in Oman, Precept Management Consultancy is a leading provider of professional-level security management training and consulting services in the Arabian Gulf region.
BCM Academy GmbH
BCM Academy is a Hamburg-based company operated by several S2 Institute alumni specialized in business continuity management training. As S2’s partner in Germany, BCM Academy is specially licensed to instruct the S2 Anti-Terrorism Officer program in the German language.
Northrop Grumman
Northrop Grumman is one of the world’s largest aerospace and defense technology companies. Northrop Grumman is the primary contractor for many S2 Institute programs conducted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Defense.
SECCON Security and Consulting
SECCON Security and Consulting is a Copenhagen-based security company providing a range of consulting, investigations, and protective services. Owned and operated by S2 alumni, SECCON Security and Consulting is a regional partner for conducting S2 Institute courses in Denmark.
Security and Intelligence Network Africa
Security and Intelligence Network Africa (SINA) was founded for the purpose of elevating homeland security in West Africa by importing expertise from around the world. SINA is an S2 Institute partner and frequently hosts S2 courses in Accra, Ghana.
HEMEIS Consulting
HEMEIS Consulting is a Tunisia-based consulting firm operated by former government security professionals, diplomats, and S2 alumni. HEMEIS Consulting is an S2 Institute partner in North Africa and works with S2 on consulting projects for its clients in the MENA region.
Advanced Security Intelligence
Advanced Security Intelligence is a Netherlands-based consultancy operated by S2 instructor, Robert van der Haas. ASI frequently assists in coordinating S2 programs in Holland and provides instructional assistance for S2 programs internationally.
