The S2 Anti-Terrorism and Hotel Security (ATHS) course was originally developed in 2016 as a custom training program to service the needs of a global hotel chain in the aftermath of an attack against one of its 5-star hotels. The objective of the program was to establish a standardized training curriculum for the client’s global team of hotel security managers and corporate risk management personnel.
In 2017, the ATHS program was expanded and updated further in preparation for public scheduling to address the universal needs of the hospitality industry.
The Anti-Terrorism and Hotel Security course was adapted from the S2 Institute’s Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) program and specifically modified with focus on facility characteristics and risk management issues specific to hotels and resorts.
Following are some highlights of the ATO program’s rich history since 2004.
