Howard Linett is S2 Institute’s instructor for courses on Suicide Terrorism and Dynamics of Terrorism. He is a veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces Combat Engineers and Honor Graduate of his Basic Training and Sapper course, and is a frequent lecturer to Israeli Border Police Sniper Courses.
Mr. Linett has spent much his adult life living in Jerusalem, Israel. He is a veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces Combat Engineers and Honor Graduate of his Basic Training and Sapper course. He has been a member of the Israeli Police Civil Guard since 1976 and is today a Sergeant-Major and sniper instructor in its Jerusalem Sniper Unit. He is a frequent lecturer to Israeli Border Police Sniper Courses.
Howard Linett is the S2 Institute’s instructor for courses on Suicide Terrorism and Dynamics of Terrorism. In addition to his status as an adjunct instructor for S2, Mr. Linett is a member of the Suicide/Homicide Bomber Tactical Analysis Focus Group of the National Terrorism Preparedness Institute and the Technical Support Working Group, U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He is also a panel member for the Department of Homeland Security’s Office for Domestic Preparedness Live Response television program on Homicide/Suicide Bombers, produced by the St. Petersburg College National Terrorism Preparedness Institute. Howard is the author of Living With Terrorism: Survival Lessons from the Streets of Jerusalem.

Attorney Linett earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1982, an M.S. in Labor Studies from the University of Massachuetts in 1974 and a B.A. in Political Science from Lafayette College in 1971.
Howard has lectured to the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Management & Homeland Security, a joint meeting of the WMD and Counter-terrorism Committees of the Greater Washington, DC area, Council of Governments (COG), the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s Homeland Security: Understanding the Enemy Seminar, Operational Tactics National SWAT/Sniper Symposium and at “Trexpo” East and West. He is published in Soldier of Fortune, S.W.A.T., The Firearms Instructor, Police Magazine, AmericanCOP, Counter-Terrorism Journal and the New Media Journal.
